1.6 Lakh Teaching Posts Vacant in UP State Govt School

Teaching Posts lies vacant in government schools at Uttar Pradesh State. There are across 75 districts in UP State and despite 15000 assistant teachers were undertaken by the UP Government around 1.60 lakh posts were still lying vacant. The UP State Government take the recruitment drives immediately to fill up the vacancies teaching positions in government run schools. There are 10187 government primary schools, 4895 government upper primary schools are running only with a single teacher each.

A candidate holding Bachelor of Education degree and qualified Central Teacher Eligibility Test can apply for the teacher job. 1.6 lakh jobs are lying vacant in primary schools and high schools in UP state. The state government granted to this while seeking financial aid from the center under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan. The data was presented before the project approval board of SSA UP last year by hiring teacher under various heads. The government did not publish any new recruitment for teacher posts. Every year some crores of the amount are spent for high-quality education in the state, but the data shows the shortage of teachers which affect the government-run schools in Uttar Pradesh State.

Most of the schools in Uttar Pradesh State are affiliated to Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad with Hindi / English as the medium of instructions.  Schools affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education and Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations with English as a medium of instructions. It took a long time for the state government to improve the education condition within the state.

The Uttar Pradesh State has 759,958 teaching positions in primary and upper primary govt schools, but only 585,232 teachers are working at present. The data reveals the poor state of education at government-run schools across the state. The government should immediately undertake the recruitment drives to fill the vacancy posts in government run schools.
